Dixie Lee Greenley

July 15, 1937 — February 13, 2024

Dixie Lee Greenley was born July 15, 1937, in Shell Rock, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Verbena (Wildeboar) Luck. She married Ronald “Ron” Greenley on March 11, 1955. She loved going thrift shopping and cooking. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and gardening. Dixie loved traveling with Ron, and Niagara Falls was her favorite place.

 

Dixie passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at MercyOne in Waterloo at the age of 86. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David Luck; a brother Donnie Luck and a sibling in infancy.

 

Dixie is survived by her husband, Ron of Dike; a son, Rick Greenley of Waterloo; two daughters, Dawn (Dan) Zart of Boscobel, Wisconsin, and Diana (Marty) Collins of Tripoli; 11 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren and a brother Dennis Luck of Lansing, Iowa.

 

Visitation: Monday, February 19, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.

 

Service: Monday, February 19, 2024, at 11:00 am at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories.

 

Burial: Monday, February 19, 2024, at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
