James Marvin Gleason

James Marvin Gleason was born January 11, 1949, in Hampton, Iowa; the son of Edward and Irene (Behnkendorf) Gleason. He was in the United States Marines during Vietnam. Jim married Julie Foreman on September 1, 1973, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He enjoyed carving and wood working. Most of all, he loved metal detecting around the lakes and the beaches in Florida.

Jim passed away on Tuesday, September 3. 2024, at UnityPointHealth – Allen Memorial, at the age of 75. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Joe Gleason and a brother in infancy. Jim is survived by his wife, Julie of Waterloo; son, Jeremy (Jamie) Gleason of Dover, New Hampshire; daughter, Jennifer (Cory) Clark of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Austin Simons, Bryan Dhein, Alexander and Rose Gleason and Alyssa Gleason and a brother David (Mary) Gleason of Denver, Iowa.
