Janice Kay Millermon

Janice Kay Millermon was born on August 26, 1946, in Nashua, Iowa. Janice was the daughter of George and Marian (McKinney) Lienemann. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1964. She married Carter Seidel of Dumont, IA, they later divorced but remained friends. She later married Guy Millermon in 1991, Guy passed away in 2018.

Janice passed away on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Guy; and her brother David.

Janice is survived by her children, Connie Seidel and (Scott Mangrich) of Evansdale, IA , Amy (Stacy) Soldwisch of Cedar Falls, IA, and Chad (Peggy) Seidel of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren Ryan (Adrienne) Soldwisch of Cedar Falls, Dylan Bane and friend Isabella Fischer of Loves Park, IL, Corrina (Bill) Davidson of Davenport, IA and Ray Seidel of Cedar Falls; her brother Gary Lienemann of Nashua; a great grandson Orran Bane of Loves Park and a beloved family friend Sharon Robe of Cedar Falls.

Janice worked for many years as a welder at Waterloo Industries. Despite her work she still found time to enjoy crocheting and quilting; especially anything that contained her favorite colors of green and pink. Janice was ultimately a farm girl at heart. She deeply loved her grandkids and enjoyed being involved in their many activities as they grew up. Janice’s family will also fondly remember her amazing cooking ability.
