With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Reuter, who left this world on February 2, 2025, at the age of 72. Margaret was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness and creativity touched everyone she met.

Margaret was the devoted wife of Rick Reuter for 55 beautiful years, a love story that stood the test of time. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter, raising their two children, Kenny and Tami, who were the lights of her life. Margaret was known for her warm heart, feisty spirit, and her dedication to her family. Her legacy continues through her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored beyond measure.

Margaret had a heart for creativity and poured love into every handmade card she crafted, turning simple paper and ink into treasured gifts for those she cared about. Her cards were more than just keepsakes—they were heartfelt reminders of her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love.

A proud fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Margaret cheered on her team with enthusiasm, donning black and gold with pride. She was also deeply patriotic, holding a profound respect for her country and its values.

One of Margaret’s most cherished traditions was hosting the annual holiday celebration known as "Thanksmas." Every year, she delighted in choosing a new theme, ensuring that family and friends would always have something special to look forward to. Her joy in bringing the family together created lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

Margaret’s love, laughter, and generosity will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we say goodbye, we hold close the countless moments of joy she gave us and the love she so freely shared.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception in Gilbertville, IA, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
