Patricia "Pat" Ann Dickinson

Patricia “Pat” Ann Dickinson was born on March 28, 1941, in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Claude and Betty (Mayberry) Burgess.  Pat grew up as a farm girl and graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1958.  On July 28, 1960, she was united in marriage to Ronald Dickinson.  The couple made their home in Rock Falls until 1973, when they moved to Iowa, settling in Waterloo in 1980.  Ron and Pat owned and operated several Diamond Dave’s restaurants in the Cedar Valley for many years, retiring in 2014.  Pat enjoyed dancing and vacationing in Mexico with Ron.  Pat died at the age of 82, surrounded by her family, on August 30, 2023, at the Western Home Communities Martin Center.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Toby.  Pat is survived by her husband, Ron of Waterloo; 2 sons, Tom Dickinson of Cedar Falls and Tory (Hollie) Dickinson of Vinton; 2 grandsons, Austin and Dalton both of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Mary Smith of Geneseo, Illinois.

 

The visitation will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 10:00 to 12:00 (noon) at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories in Waterloo.  The burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo.
