Sandy was a homemaker and she wanted nothing more than to be a mom. She provided in-home daycare for many years and made great connections with many families. Sandy worked at Lee’s Bridal in Waverly and went on to purchase the business and operated as
“Now and Forever Bridal” both in Waverly and then in Waterloo. She loved working with customers and their families in planning their wedding attire for their special day. Upon retiring Sandy enjoyed more time with grandchildren and family. It was her greatest joy to host family for get-togethers of any kind, especially the holidays! One of her favorite things to do, that she was well known for, was her love and skill in playing card games with her family. Her constant success led to some cheating accusations amongst her family. She enjoyed crafting over the years with friends and family. She loved helping with crafts at church for VBS. Her church and women's groups were something she looked forward to. Some of her fondest adult memories were those that included the friendships she made at church. She was loyal and kind and was sought out for conversation and wisdom. She maintained life long friendships from when she was a young girl. She shared story after story of her family and friends. She had a devotion to all of them. She enjoyed loving people through her cooking and baking. She loved to teach us recipes and cook with her grandchildren. She was a connoisseur of collecting recipes and trying them out on us all. Sandy was the matriarch of our family. She loved deeply and will be missed endlessly. We can't imagine the world without her in it. The place she occupies in our heart and mind will never change. She loved the Lord and God has taken her pain and brought her home.
