Vickie Lynn Anderson

Vickie Lynn Anderson was born October 28, 1952, in Cresco, Iowa, daughter of Darald and Wanelda (Smith) Blanchard. She graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1971. Vickie married Charles Anderson, and they later divorced. She loved to mow the lawn, garden, animals, canning with her mother and mother-in-law and her noon naps. Vickie was a chauffeur to her kids for many years and would race anybody at the stoplights. She also enjoyed reading her romantic, mystery novels and spending time playing cards with her sisters and cousins. Vickie loved attending her grandkids games.

Vickie passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, at the age of 72. She is preceded in death by her parents. Vickie is survived by her son, Aaron (Kami) Anderson of Janesville; two daughters, Rachel (Matt) Hiebert of Forney, Texas and Micah (Jon) Barraza of Royse City, Texas; seven grandchildren, Preslielyn, Lillian, Kelton, Hayden, Jakoby, Carver and Kamberlyn and three sisters, Judy Blanchard, Brenda (Dave) Santee and Monica (Ricky) Siebrands all of Cedar Falls.

 Visitation: Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, Iowa.

 Burial: Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Barclay Cemetery in Dunkerton, Iowa.

 Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
