Wendy Jean Bishop

Wendy Jean Cook-Bishop was born January 13, 1963, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of James and Lois (Forbes) Cook. She was born and raised in Hudson, Iowa. Wendy graduated from Hudson High School in 1982. She was employed at ABLM Family Dental as a Dental Assistant. She also was a sub-para at the Waterloo Community Schools. Wendy was very proud of her winning the grand championship of the Hudson Days Pie Contest in 2023. 

Wendy passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her home, at the age of 61. She is preceded in death by parents, James and Lois Cook and her brothers, Allen Cook and Darnell Cook. Wendy is survived by a son, Carl Bishop (Jennie Halbert) of Renton, Washington; a daughter, Sarah Bishop (Kole Knipfel) of Waterloo; a brother, Randy (Michelle) Cook of Hudson; many nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Aaron (Bre) Cook of Waterloo. 

Memorial Service: Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 4:30 pm, at the Community Church, 226 Eldora Rd, Hudson, Iowa   50643.

Burial: Hudson Cemetery, Hudson, Iowa.
