Our Staff

Christine started with Overton Funeral Homes and Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories in 2003. She was raised in Waterloo, and graduated from West High School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science. In 2017, Christine pursued other ventures, but in 2020, returned to where she got her start and to the friends and neighbors she served for many years. Christine and her husband Greg are lifelong residents of Waterloo, and are members of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. They have one son, Henry, who graduated from Columbus High School and is starting his freshman year at the University of Iowa.

Shannon Frost has been with Overton and Parrott and Wood Funeral since April of 2022.  Shannon is a lifelong resident of Cedar Falls and is a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church but likes to visit many different churches during the year. Shannon is a graduate of the Mortuary Science program at DMACC and began her internship in August of 2024. Shannon also is a graduate from Hawkeye Community College with her EMT degree in 1997 and Hamilton Business College with her Medical Specialist degree in 1999. Shannon and her husband Troy have four children, Jackson, Grace, Piper and Griffin. The three oldest have or are attending University of Iowa and their youngest Griffin attends CFHS. In her spare time Shannon runs a local volleyball club, traveling, traveling for her sons sports and spoiling her puppies, Koda, Minkah and Max.
